‘Excess of holidays resulting into academic loss of student’

JAMMU, Oct 20: Jammu Private Schools and ETT Institutes Association (Progressive) today said that excess of holidays to educational institutions by the State Government has badly hampered the academic curriculum of students.
In a statement, the Association president Deep Singh said that late hour announcements of authorities for declaring holidays are also another casual behavior of Government causing un-certainty among the parents and the private school managements in particular.
An atmosphere of non cooperation between private schools/civil society and State Government and its concerned authorities is responsible for the present hotchpotch performance of our education system, he alleged adding that the State Government was never found serious for a debate oriented rules, norms or SROs of Education Department.
