Manohar dedicates school buildings, lays foundation stone of bridge

KATHUA, Oct 21: Minister of State for Fisheries, Cooperatives, Finance and Planning, Dr Manohar Lal Sharma, on Tuesday dedicated two school buildings besides laying foundation stone of a bridge at Billawar.
Dr Sharma, during his visit to Tehsil Billawar laid foundation stone of a bridge over Alli nallah to be completed with an estimated cost of Rs 90.96 lakh in Makwal panchayat.
While addressing the gathering, Sharma said said with the completion of bridge around 10,000 people will get benefit. He added that Madal Nallah is active tributary and during the rainy season the access to the surrounding villages was summarily cut off, but this bridge will solve the problem.
The Minister also inaugurated recently upgraded additional three room building of Middle School Jasyal with Rs. 7.45 lakh under Sarv Shiksha Abhiyan (SSA).
The Minister also inaugurated Panchayat Ghar building of Thaintu panchayat completed with Rs.20 lakh.
Later, Dr Sharma inaugurated additional three room school building of recently upgraded middle school Thaintu.
While addressing people at Thaintu, Dr Sharma said the promise made to the Thainu people have been fulfilled with the construction of this additional building under Sarv Shiksha Abhiyan SSA with a total cost of Rs.7.45 lakh.
The Minister also met various deputations and listened to their problems patiently.
Dr Manohar Lal Sharma said focus of the Government was to provide sanitary facilities under Nirmal Bharat Abhiyan to facilitate people with toilets to discourage defecation in open.
