Sir,
This is with reference to the article ‘More about Modi” (Oct 11) by M L Kotru. The learned writer finds fault with Modi on every front-his politics, his functioning as PM at all. The author has tried to equate him with Indira’s Emergency which I suppose will be a disfavour to Modi. Modi unlike Indira rose from a simple village background. He rose to become PM by dent of his own abilities. Much water has flown from the Ganga from 1971 to 2014. India has changed. With the advent of Middle class from 1990 onwards after the opening up of market in India, society as a whole has changed.
As for sidelining the respected old leaders like our Mr Advani and M M Joshi is concerned, change is the law of nature. Buddha has rightly said that nothing is permanent. There is childhood, youth, old age etc. New leaders come with new ideas. We old stick to our old ideas, which is not encouraging.
Yours etc…
