BARAMULLA, Oct 27: Senior vice president State Congress and former Minister Abdul Gani Vakil today reiterated that Congress will form the next Government on its own as the people are too much fed up with the sentimental slogans of regional parties whether it is a slogan of autonomy or self rule.
In a statement issued here today he said People are interested in development and corruption free society but it is unfortunate that the corruption increased in coalition system and the development got stagnated. He said that Chief Minister, Omar Abdullah could not utilize six years of his tenure properly rather corruption; nepotism delay in execution of developmental projects became a routine.
Mr. Vakil who was addressing party workers convention at Nowpora Rafiabad cautioned the people against the political forces who have always lured them with emotional slogans and have no respect for national integration or sympathy with common man. “Whenever elections are in sight these regional parties exploit innocent people on issues of accession with India, autonomy or self rule and during elections these forces become more active and come to forefront to attract the people by selling dreams that are far from reality and also doesn’t leave any opportunity to befool people. But once they come to power they forget all these issues and adopt dormancy till in possession of power and people have suffered a lot due to such exploitation added Vakil.
The prime concern of people was restoration of peace, job opportunities, development and progress, “unfortunately, instead of addressing these vital issues, some parties are raising hollow slogans and emotionally blackmailing innocent people of Jammu and Kashmir.
