RAJOURI, Oct 31: Tension erupted in busy market near City Chowk after some miscreants pelted an empty glass bottle on a shop late this evening.
Since the stray incidents of pelting stones in the same area of the market for the last some days had already put the police on toes, but after the lull of three days, yet another incident of bottle pelting created tension again. As the bottle hit one of the shutters of a shop it got broken and the pieces of glasses spread all around. Three traders Arshed Bhat, Bharat Bhushan and one Hony had narrow escape.
It happened at around 8 pm and many traders and passers by assembled there. Some cops were also standing nearby in the Chowk. SHO Yash Pal Jamwal and DySP Headquarters also reached there. They police started investigation. Some suspects were also lifted. The locals demanded that miscreants indulging in such acts be brought to book.
