LOS ANGELES, Nov 1: Kelly Reilly, Abigail Spencer, Leven Rambin and Michael Irby are joining the cast of ‘True Detective’.
The second season of Nic Pizzolatto’s anthology crime drama series will centre on three police officers teaming with a criminal to investigate a murder, reported The Wrap.
Their murder investigation will uncover a larger conspiracy that threatens to bring them all down.
Colin Farrell has been cast as police detective Ray Velcoro, whose loyalties are torn between his duty and a mob boss during the criminal probe.
Taylor Kitsch recently confirmed that he will play military veteran Paul Woodrugh, while Vince Vaughn has been attached to the role of career crook Frank Semyon.
Rachel McAdams has been linked to play troubled detective Ani Bezzerides, with ‘The Unit’ star Irby expected to play her partner.
The other three new cast additions have been hired for recurring roles throughout the season.
Justin Lin (Fast & Furious 6) has signed on to direct the first two episodes of ‘True Detective’ second season. (PTI)
