Jammu boys lift triple title

JAMMU, Nov 7: State Level Inter-District Athletic Meet for Under-19, 17 and 14 boys concluded at BSF Stadium Paloura, here today.
Jammu boys excelled in all the three categories and lifted triple title by claiming gold in each category.
Navin Agarwal, Director General Youth Services and Sports was the chief guest on the valedictory function, who distributed the medals and trophies among the athletes, Rakesh Sharma, IG BSF Jammu Frontier was the guest of honour.
Earlier, 200 mtrs Under-19 boys, Rajinder Kumar of Jammu bagged gold, Anil Sharma of Samba won silver and Rayees Ahmed of Baramulla claimed bronze, while in 200 mtrs Under-17 boys, the gold, silver and bronze medals went to Ramandeep Singh of Kathua, Kajal Singh of Jammu and Faisal Rashid of Ganderbal respectively.
In 200 mtrs Under-14 boys, Anubhav Raina of Jammu bagged gold, while Naseer Ali of Rajouri won silver and Amir Hussain of Kishtwar claimed bronze, while in 800 mtrs Under-19 boys, Yashpaul Tinkoo of Jammu, Rahul Singh of Samba and Susheel Kumar of Udhampur won gold, silver and bronze medals respectively.
Overall, in Under-14 boys, Jammu emerged winner and Kathua runners-up, while in Under-17, Jammu remained winner and Kathua runners-up and in Under-19, Jammu emerged winner and Poonch runners-up.
Prominent among others present on the occasion were Kanchan Bala, Deputy Director Youth Services and Sports and Sukhdev Raj Sharma, DYSSO Jammu.
