JAMMU, Nov 11: Sai Cricket Club, KC Sports Club and Tanishta registered emphatic wins and entered in the next round of the ongoing 3rd Eid-Diwali Milan T20 Cricket Cup, played at Gulshan Ground, here.
Today the first match was played between Sai Club and Royal Cricket Club and the Sai Club defeated Royal Club by 40 runs.
Batting first, Sai Club XI scored 186 runs in the allotted 18 overs for loss of 5 wickets, with Suman (82 in 58 balls) and Rohit (65 in 34 balls) being the main scorers. King took 3 wickets, while Ravi and Harish shared 1 wicket each.
Royal Club, in managed to score 146 runs, thus lost the match 40 runs. Amit Koul made 42 runs and Ramesh 40 runs for his team. Vinay and Minto took 3 wickets each, while Rahul took 2 and Deepak and Sonu shared one wicket each. Suman was declared man of the match for his all-round performance.
In the second match, KC Sports Club scripted a comfortable win over Cantt XI. Batting first, Cantt Club made 152 runs in the allotted 20 overs for all wickets with Sahil top scoring with 45, while Vijay Dogra (24) and Rahul (22) runs were the other contributors. Vivek took 3 wickets, Noushad 2, while Arjun, Sidhant and Ramandeep shared 1 wicket each.
In reply, KC Sports Club achieved the target in 18.4 overs for the loss of 3 wickets. Amritpal made 78 runs and Abhishant 44. Inderjeet, Vijay and Rajesh took 1 wicket each. Amritpal was declared man of the match.
Another match played between Tanishta Cricket Club and Simula XI. Batting first Tanishta Cricket Club scored 141 runs in the allotted 20 overs. Manjeet made 40 runs while Hunny scored 18 runs for Tanishta Club. Soumay Jain, Mohit and Vikram took 2 wickets each for Simula, while Dhruv Mahajan and Sameer Khajuria shared 1 wicket each.
In reply, Simula tried hard but could not achieved the target and scored 118 runs for all wickets in 17.5 overs .Somay Jain 35 and Vivek Thappa 31 were the main scorers. Manjeet and Bansi took 3 wickets, Sanjay took 2 while Aditya took 1 wicket. Manjeet Singh was declared man of the match for his all-round performance.
The matches were officiated by Sadiq Hussain, Sunil Sambyal, Sandeep Manchanda, Suhail Yusuf, Abhijot Bedi, Shahrukh and Yogesh .
In tomorrow’s fixture, Atman Club will take on ICC at 8 am, JKP XI will face Sai Club at 11am and Simula XI will meet Akhnoor XI at 1pm.
