BOSE Chairman, IG Security, Asian Games medalist call on Governor

JAMMU, Nov 12: Dr. Nutan Resutra, Chairman, J&K Board of School Education (JKBOSE), called on N.N. Vohra, Governor, here at the Raj Bhavan today.
Dr. Resutra apprised the Governor about his views regarding the reforms which need to be brought about in curricula and the examination systems in school education and make BOSE’s functioning more effective.
The Governor complimented Dr. Resutra on taking over this important assignment and wished him success in all his future endeavours.
Jagjit Kumar, Inspector General of Police (IGP), Security, also called on Mr. Vohra and  briefed him about the functioning of the Security Wing in the State. The Governor stressed the importance of all personnel in the Security Wing being provided refresher training on regular basis and the gadgets/ equipments being upgraded on urgent basis.
This was Mr. Kumar’s first meeting with the Governor after his taking over as IGP Security.
Meanwhile, Naib Subedar Chain Singh of 13th JAKLI, who won a bronze medal in a rifle shooting event at the recently concluded 17th Asian Games called on Mr. Vohra. This young Army officer hails from a remote village in Doda district.
Naib Subedar shared with the Governor his experiences of participation in the 2014 Asian Games and his ideas about the up-gradation of sports infrastructure in the State.
The Governor complimented Chain Singh for his achievement in the Asian Games and urged him to practice hard for securing a berth in the Shooting team for the next Olympics.
