JAMMU, Nov 14: Jayesh outplayed Shorya, while Shzar got better of Shreya to win men’s and women’s titles in the 36th J&K Stag State Table Tennis Championship, organised by the Jammu and Kashmir Table Tennis Association at Indoor Complex, MA Stadium, here.
B R Sharma, Commissioner Planning was the chief guest on the valedictory function, who distributed prizes among the winners and runners-up players on the occasion.
Prominent among others present on the occasion were Ashutosh Sharma, Ajay Sharma, Rajan Sharma, Sheetal Gangotra, Satvir Singh, I P Singh, Narinder Singh, Saleem Banday, SP Singh and Manmeet Kour.
Earlier, in the men’s final, Jayesh prevailed over Shorya by (11-6, 11-8, 11-7), while in junior boys final, Divyam Pandoh toppled Ritvik Gupta by (11-9, 9-11, 11-9, 8-11, 11-9).
The other winners included Anant Rohmetra (cadet boys), Iknoor Kour (cadet girls), Ritvik Gupta (sub jr boys), Jhanvi Pandoh (sub jr girls), Jhanvi Pandoh (jr girls), Jayesh Singh (youth boys) and Mahesh Sharma (veterans).
The runners-up in these categories included Hanumant Sharma, Archita Kesar, Manandeep Singh, Shreya, Shreya, Ritvik Gupta, Shreya and Sanjay Gupta respectively.
