SRINAGAR, Nov 14: School children in Kashmir today missed to celebrate the Children’s Day as most of the schools in flood hit area have yet not resumed functioning due to infrastructure damaged in floods.
The children could not attend classes after September devastating floods, which left hundreds of schools defunct from last two and half months.
Not only Children’s Day, children also missed to mark the 125th birth anniversary of first Prime Minister Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru this year, because no activity was reported in any of the flood hit schools here.
