Celebration of Hungama 2014 by Banyan International School

JAMMU, Nov 16: Banyan International School, managed in association with Pearson Schools, a part of the world’s leading learning company Pearson, celebrated Hungama-The Children’s Day Fete in a frolicsome way today.
At the revival of its annual carnival – which had over 10,000 people attending – the featured attractions were the animal rides, games, magic show, DJ, ferris wheels and bouncies. Students from all classes, along with their families, were a part of the celebration at the school premises. The fest also featured a rocking performance by the Nissi Fusion Band and dance numbers by the students of the school, including the performance that recently won first prize at the inter-school level.
A Fancy Dress Competition was also organized for children of grades 1 to 3 from all over Jammu, with Raghvi taking first place dressed as Princess Barbie.
The chief guest for the event was Deputy Commissioner, Ajeet Kumar Sahu, who also presided over the Lucky Draw and the prize distribution ceremonies. The first prize in the Lucky Draw was an LCD TV, with others winning music systems, phones, blowers, microwave ovens and Kent Purifiers. The whole carnival was hosted by the Management of the School, with Harinder Mahajan and Sahil Mahajan joining in the fun with their families.
Vishal Opticals also held a free eye check up camp for all attendees and SVEEP were present at the fest to raise voter awareness and participation in the upcoming State elections.
Speaking on the occasion Shounak Lahiri, Principal, Banyan International School said “We are constantly looking to organise such events for our students. An initiative like Hungama is not only a celebration of our future by recognising the importance of our children.
