JAMMU, Nov 18: Vyeth, a socio-cultural orgainsation today released a musical audio CD of Kashmiri songs sung and composed by one of the eminent singers of State, Naina Sapru Trisal.
Dr Agnishekhar and Prof Kailash Mehra were the chief guest and the guest of honour respectively. The programme was graced by the Chief Vigilance Commissioner, Kuldeep Khoda and former Chief Secretary of the State and MLC Vijay Bakaya.
The programme started with welcome note presented by the founder president of vyeth Prof Virender Rawal. Kuldeep Kalla mesmerized the audience by reciting an Urdu Gazal “ Dheemak” written by Prof Virender Rawal and a Kashmiri song of Arnimal. Before the formal release of the CD Nishyand, a brief note about the CD was presented by Naina Sapru.
The video clipping of audio songs produced by Vyeth was also applauded by the audience. A classical dance item by Jyoti Kumari and choreographed by Pankaj Handoo on a Kashmiri song enthralled the whole audience. Later Kuldeep Khoda, Dr Agnishekar , Prof Kailash Mehra, Rakesh Anand were felicitated by Vyeth with shawls and mementos.
Vijay Bakaya, chief patron, Vyeth in his address gave brief description about the selfless contribution of Vyeth towards the preservation and propagation of our language and heritage.
Prof Kailash Mehra had all praises for Nishyand the musical CD conceived and developed by Naina Sapru.
Vote of thanks was presented by an eminent actor and dramatist Makhan Lal Saraf and programme was conducted by Kusum Ticku.
