JAMMU, Nov 19: Bharat Vikas Parishad, Swami Vivekanada Branch, Gandhi Nagar organized a ‘Bharat Ko Jano Quiz Competition at Luthra Academy, Gandhi Nagar, here.
About 20 Schools of Gandhi Nagar, Shastri Nagar and Nanak Nagar locality participated in the competition.
The function started with the lighting of the lamp and recitation of Vande Matram.
Madhu Luthra, School Principal was the chief guest on the occasion, while Ram Murti Sharma, Principal, Blooming Dales School, Jammu was the guest.
Dogra Hr. Sec. School Shastri Nagar, Popular Academy Nanak Nagar, and Shiksha Niketan Gandhi Nagar, Jammu stood Ist, 2nd and 3rd in junior category respectively, while in senior category, Popular Academy Nanak Nagar, Guru Harkrishan Public School Nanak Nagar and Blooming Dales High School Nanak Nagar took Ist, 2nd and 3rd respectively.
The programme was conducted by Arun Sharma and V K Phoa.
Vote of thanks was presented by Shiv Ram Sharma. Other prominent members present in the function were Amita Sharma, Darshan Gupta, V P Gupta, G P Soi, Dr Surinder Gupta and Dr Khajuria.
The function concluded with the recitation of National Anthem.
All the participating teams were given mementoes, certificates and refreshment on the occasion.
