Jammu, Nov 19: SOS International- an organizations of displaced persons from Pak occupied Jammu and Kashmir today served ultimatum to the Narendra Modi led BJP Government to accept the comprehensive package of refugees sent by J&K Government or get ready to face the wrath of lakhs of refugees in the Assembly elections.
Circulating copies of the letter, written by Union Home Ministry to the State Government for clubbing the issue of West Pakistan refugees with the proposed package for displaced persons from PoJK, among the media-persons at a press conference here today, the Chairman of SOS International, Rajiv Chuni dared BJP to initiate action against him for alleged breach of privilege.
“Let the BJP and its Government at the Centre take action against me for leaking out the correspondence with the State Government over its denial of accepting Rs 9096 crores rehabilitation package for PoJK refugees,” Mr Chuni maintained.
He also asked BJP leader Avinash Rai Khanna to tender an unconditional apology to the displaced community for trying to mislead the people over the issue and said that the contents of Union Home Ministry’s letter have exposed Central Government as well as BJP on its double standards towards PoJK refugees.
It is pertinent to mention that BJP In-charge for Jammu Kashmir Mr Khanna had made claim that the package for PoJK refugees was under consideration of the Parliamentary panel and disclosure of contents of proceedings of the Standing Committee was breach of privilege which would invite action against any such person indulging in such practice.
The refugees’ body served ultimatum to the Central Government for reviewing its controversial decision of sending back package and warned that if no action is taken by forthcoming Sunday, the displaced community would expose BJP and launch campaign against the party in the Assembly elections. Mr Chuni warned that 17 lakh PoJK refugees from PoJK and Chammb, would teach BJP a lesson in the Assembly elections if corrective measures are not taken immediately.
