JAMMU, Nov 20: Student Association of Ladakh, (SAL) Jammu organized five day long Annual Sports Meet which concluded at football ground, University of Jammu.
Outplaying F C Ladakh, Rolling Stones won the football match by 2-1. Friends 11 bagged the winner trophy against Shenna 11 in Cricket. In Volleyball (men) Friends defeated Nubra. In volleyball (females) Kargil defeated IMS Chuchot. IMS Chuchot stood as runner up in Kho-Kho Womem’s against Kargil.
Tahir Hussain, advisor to the General Administrative Department was the chief guest on the valedictory function, who gave away the prizes to the players and the winners.
Prof Satnam Kour, Head, Department of English was the guest of honour. She congratulated the winners and also appreciated the student organisers. Other dignitaries included teaching faculty and research scholars from the various department of Jammu University.
Towards the end, the vote of thanks was presented by Taira Bano, president (SAOLJ). She in her concluding speech extended her thanks to all the dignitaries, executive members, organizers, participants and the audience for making the event a grand success.
