BEIJING, Nov 21: One student was killed and another injured today in a knife attack by their roommate in northern China, the fourth such incident this month in the country.
A student of Tianjin Chengjian University stabbed two of his roommates in the dormitory, police said.
Today’s assault was followed by yesterday’s knife attack in a military hospital in which six nurses and a caretaker were killed.
Li Xiaolong, who worked in the kitchen of the hospital, hacked his victims to death at the dormitory of the People’s Liberation Army (PLA) in Beidaihe district, state-run Xinhua News Agency reported.
The attack was similar to a series of such incidents reported from across the country in which the knife-wielding attackers went berserk and attacked children and people on the road or in malls.
This is the fourth reported knife attack this month.
One child was killed another seriously injured when a knife wielding woman went on a stabbing spree in Beihai City of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Regime on November 16.
Another attacker, stabbed to death one girl and injured another in Langgudun Village of Xuzhou City on November 3. (PTI)
