JAMMU, Nov 21: Ace cricketer Mithun Manhas during a training session at Sehwag Cricket Academy at Heritage School in Jammu on Friday said that the Academy has been established in the City of Temples with the sole aim of producing international stuff as there is no dearth of cricketing talent here.
He said the only need is to hone the skills of young and talented cricketers including beginners and help them blossom at the highest level.
Mithun said this during a concluding function of the three-day camp at the Academy.
“The training session will be a part of the ongoing Academy,” Manhas informed and added that in future, more cricketers of national and international repute will be visiting the Academy to guide and goad the youngsters and help them to sparkle.
While giving tips to the budding cricketers, he said that the Academy will cater to the needs of hundreds of cricketers in Jammu, adding that it has already registered around 40 budding cricketers with it.
Sehwag Cricket Academy was inaugurated in October this year by Indian Cricketer Virender Sehwag alongwith Mr Manhas.
Presently senior cricketers and former Ranji Trophy players including left-arm spinner Jagtar Singh and middle order batsman Guru Partap Singh are holding the training sessions at the Academy.
