JAMMU, July 24: Vice Chancellor, University of Jammu, Prof Mohan Pal Singh Ishar will certainly take steps for the improvement of the sports infrastructure and other allied items including TA/DA, refreshment charges and officiating charges for the umpires and referees on the analogy of GNDU and other neighbouring Universities.
This was assured by the Director, Directorate of Sports and Physical Education, University of Jammu, Prof Dhian Singh Bhau to the Physical Directors of different colleges of Jammu province in a meeting convened by the Directorate, here today.
Prof Bhau said that the matter will be taken up with the Vice Chancellor on the top priority, adding that he will certainly take initiatives, while replying to certain queries and demands raised by the Directors regarding provision of TA/DA for the players, managers and coaches during Inter-Collegiate Competitions.
Many decisions regarding sports calendar of the inter-college sports events were taken in the meeting and it was decided that the first event of the season shall begin on September 4.
