JAMMU, Nov 22: Quarterfinals position has been cleared in the girls section as Haryana, CBSE, Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh, Gujarat, Rajasthan, Delhi and Punjab have qualified for the last eight stage in the ongoing 60th National School Games Under-14 Boys and Girls Badminton, being organized by the Department of Youth Services and Sports, under the aegis of School Games Federation of India (SGFI) and under the chairmanship of Navin Agarwal, Director General Youth Services & Sports at University of Jammu, here.
Despite a convincing win over West Bengal, Jammu and Kashmir girls failed to make it to the quarterfinals and have been ousted from the Tournament.
To make the championship fair and transparent, the participating players have gone through medical test conducted by a team of Doctors namely Dr Dhruv Ji Raina and Dr Sukriti Chadda, under the supervision of Dr Rubinder Khajuria, Chief Medical Officer, Jammu for age verification prior to the conduct of the competition.
Earlier a complete medical check-up of the participants was done by Doctor Anuradha, Dr Kamini and Dr Ashia under the supervision of Block Medical Officer Dansal, Dr Sumit Koul at Youth Hostel Nagrota.
In girls section, Puducherry beat Bihar by 2-0. In first singles, Ravi Raj of Puducherry outplayed Yabshara Hayat of Bihar by 30-08, while in doubles, Kavi Priya and Agnus of Puducherry got better of Yabshara and Luxmi of Bihar by 30-01.
Maharashtra drubbed NVS by 2-0. In first singles, Ramsha of Maharashtra beat Jashya of NVS by 30-11, while in doubles, Simran and Malvika of Maharashtra trounced Suhana and Jashya of NVS by 30-06.
Assam outplayed Vidya Bharti by 2-0. In first singles,  Devahuti of Assam beat Medha Jain  of Vidya Bharti by 30-06, while in doubles, Sumi and Navo Preeta of Assam prevailed over Medha  and Shruti of Vidya Bharti by 30-10.
Chandigarh outclassed Telangana by 2-1. In first singles,  Keyura of Telangana beat Arpita of Chandigarh by 30-11, while in second  singles, Garima of Chandigarh drubbed Swetha of Telangana by 30-23 and in doubles, Garima and Arpita of Chandigarh trounced Aditi  and G Pravlika of Telangana by 30-24.
Chhattisgarh defeated Punjab by 2-1. In singles, Anju Verma of Chhattisgarh got better of Noor A Singh of  Punjab by 30-28, while in doubles, Noor and Saumya of Punjab beat Anju and Aarchee of Chhattisgarh by 30-10 and in 2nd singles, Teena of Chhattisgarh trounced Mandeep of Punjab by 30-13.
UP beat Odisha by 2-0. In 1st singles, Sonali Dubey of U P beat Yasha Shree of Odisha by 30-21, while in doubles, Sunali and Vaishnavi of UP beat Rasmita and Madhmita of Odisha by 30-15.
Karnataka outplayed Vidya Bharti by 2-0. In 1st singles, M Romesh of Karnataka beat Shruti of Vidya Bharti by 30-10, while in doubles, M Romesh and Shriya of Karnataka beat Komal Preet and Medha Jain of Vidya Bharti by 30-04.
Tamilnadu drubbed Odisha by 2-0. In 1st singles, Prithika of Tamilnadu outplayed Yashashree of Odisha by 30-26, while in doubles, Rupa Laxmi and Anjeline Varsharoy of  Tamilnadu beat Aaradhna and Rasmita Sabar of Odisha by 30-07.
J&K beat West Bengal by 2-1. In 1st singles, Mandrita of West Bengal beat Raytham of J&K by 30-07, while in doubles, Naman and Bhavini of J&K got better of Mandrita and Rudrani of West Bengal by 30-22 and in 2nd singles, Naman of J&K beat Amrita Roy of West Bengal by 30-21.
Uttrakhand outplayed Chhattisgarh 2-0. In singles, Arti Bharti of Uttrakhand beat Anju Verma of Chhattisgarh by 30-11, while in doubles Arti and Ashwarya of Uttrakhand thrashed Anju and Aarchee of Chhattisgarh by 30-17.
West Bengal thrashed Himachal Pardesh 2-0. In singles, Dimitra of West Bengal trounced Jahanvi of Himachal Pardesh 30-20, while in doubles, Rudkani Mukherjee and Mandrita of West Bengal outplayed Jahanvi and Divya of Himachal Pardesh by 30-15.
Andra Pradesh defeated Kerela 2-1. In singles, Lalasa of Andra Pradesh got better of Anju Jasmin of Kerela by 30-28, while in doubles Anju and Treesa of Kerela drubbed Tajaswani and Veneela of Andra Pradesh by 30-17 and in second singles, Chandni of A P  beat Krishna Priya of Kerela.
Andra Pradesh trounced Daman Diu 2-0. In singles, Venila of Andra Pradesh defeated Avantika of Daman Diu by 30-02, while in doubles, Chandni and Lalasa of Andra Pradesh got better of Heloni and Harsida by 30-14.
Rajasthan toppled Himachal Pradesh 2-0. In singles, Seema of Rajasthan beat Tikmu of Himachal Pradesh by 30-07, while in doubles, Seema and Sejal of Rajasthan defeated Jahanvi Thakur and Divya of Himachal Pradesh by 30-12.
Delhi beat Karnataka 2-1. In singles, Nikita of Karnataka defeated Ananya of Delhi by 30-20, while in doubles,  Durve and Vibhuti of Delhi prevailed over Nikita and Shreya of Karnataka by 30-26 and in second singles, Aditi of Delhi beat Spandane Bakel of Karnataka by 30-17.
Meanwhile, in boys section, Tamilnadu defeated Uttrakhand by 2-0. In first singles, Gokul of Tamilnadu beat Prashant of Uttrakhand by 30-16, while in doubles,   Mohd Arfin Shah and Gokul of Tamilnadu beat Akshat and Parj Shivam of Uttrakhand by 30-18.
Telangana beat Uttar Pradesh 2-0. In first singles, Pavan Krishna of Telangana trounced Chandan Yadav of UP by 30-29, while in doubles, K Vara Prasad and Pavan Krishna of Telangana defeated Hariom Yadav and Chandan Yadav of UP by 30-1.
Rajasthan prevailed over Punjab 2-0. In singles, Vikrant Kaushal of Rajasthan beat Somin Wason of Punjab by 30-17, while in doubles, Vikrant Kaushal and Hardik Raj of Rajasthan beat Parth Soni and Jewesh Khanna of Punjab by 30-09.
Puducherry beat Maharashtra 2-1. In first singles, VS Prabu of Puducherry got better of Prathamesh of Maharashtra by 30-27, while in doubles, Vaskaran Singh and Kedar Bhide Maharashtra beat Kruthie and Ezilan of Puducherry by 30-12 and in second singles Ezilan of Puducherry beat Vedant Kale of Maharashtra by 30-25.
Andhra Pradesh thrashed Gujarat 2-0. In first singles, S Arshid of Andhra Pradesh beat Manav of Gujarat by 30-28, while in doubles, S Imran and S Arshid of A P prevailed over Manav and Karan of Gujarat by 30-29.
Himachal Pardesh beat IPSC 2-0. In first singles, Samakash of HP beat Aryan of IPSC by 30-27, while in doubles, Sourabh and Tanmay of H P beat Aryan and Donald of IPSC by 30-14.
Odisha trounced J&K 2-1. In first singles, Aamil Ishaq of J&K beat Inderjeet Jain of Odisha by 30-15, while in doubles, Satyam Mishra and Prabu Prashad of Odisha beat Ritik Anand and Saiyam Sharma of J&K by 30-27 and in second singles, Nadish Poddar of Odisha beat Subhkirt Singh of J&K by 30-19.
Karnataka got better of CBSE 2-0. In singles, Rohith M of Karnataka defeated Rishabh of CBSE by 30-09, while in doubles, Tejas S and Kallokar of Karnataka outplayed Rishabh and Shourya of CBSE by 30-03.
