BVP holds quiz competition

JAMMU, Nov 22: Bharat Vikas Parishad, (BVP) J&K Prant  organized a Bharat Ko Jano quiz competition and Guru Teg Bahadur Balidan Divas at Guru Harikrishan School,  Nanak NAGAR, JAMMU, today.
About twenty schools of Jammu province  participated in the competition. The function started with the lightening of the lamp and recitation of  Vande Matram. Brig Sucheit Singh was chief guest and Dr Anil Kalia was guest  of honour. The State president Arun Sharma gave the welcome address. Dr Santosh Gupta Presided over the function. The students of the school performed the shabad kirtan and Smt Balvinder Kour the school teacher spoke on the life and scarifies of Guru Teg Bahadur.
The student also gave poetery recitation on Guru Ji. In the quiz competition for Junior category Modern Public School, Channi Himat, Dogra Higher  Secondary School Shastri Nagar, Cooperative Public School  stood Ist 2nd and 3rd positions respectively and in Senior Category Himat Learning Field, Cooperative Public School and Vidya Peeth Public School and Popular Model Academy Nanak Nagar, Jammu stood  Ist, 2nd and 3rd Position respectively.
The chief guest and guest of honour appreciated and applauded the contribution of BVP in promoting the spirit of Nationalism among the students.
