KISHTWAR, Nov 22: BJP candidate from Inderwal Tariq Keen held series of public meetings at Parnot, Kandote, Sharote and other villages of his Constituency and appealed people to vote for BJP for over all development of Chenab Valley under the leadership of Narendra Modi.
Mr Keen said the people of this hilly belt were always exploited by Congress and NC for remaining in power and both these parties right from 1947 failed to build this hilly belt by launching the poverty eradication schemes.
He said though the Chenab Valley has lot of power generating potential but no proper attention was paid to the same, nor efforts were made to promote the tourism in the area though it has many scenic places than Kashmir Valley.
Addressing the meeting senior BJP leader S S Bijral (retd) IGP said that Narendra Modi led Government has taken many drastic steps for the development of the country and the people of J&K should not lag behind any way.
He said the State has suffered a lot during turmoil and now it is the golden opportunity for the people to install a BJP Government in the State so that the democracy is strengthen and State marches on the path of progress and prosperity and can be converted as a economic hub of the country.
Sanjay Parihar in charge of the Constituency said BJP has made inroads in Congress bastions in the Constituency as a large number of Muslims are joining the Party for the development of the area, for peace and prosperity.
