JAMMU, Nov 25: Prof V K Bhat, Dean, Faculty of Sciences, Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University, visited Kuwait to attend International Conference on Mathematics and its Applications at University of Kuwait this month.
The conference, sponsored by University of Kuwait and Kuwait Foundation for the Advancement of Sciences, was attended by about 100 leading Mathematicians including Field Medallist Prof Vladimir Voevodsky, and about one hundred fifty young faculty, research scholars and students from about twenty countries.
Latest developments in Mathematics (Algebra, Graph Theory and Applied Mathematics) and applications were discussed and presented during plenary lectures, invited talks, contributory talks and other informal discussions.
Prof Bhat delivered a talk titled “Polynomial Rings over Near Completely Prime Ideal Rings” during the conference.
