JAMMU, Nov 25: Army Public School Rakhmuthi celebrated the Annual Day with grandeur, here.
The function was presided over by chairman Army Public School Rakhmuthi along with other dignitaries.
The event commenced with NCC cadets leading the chief guest to podium for the inaugural ceremony.
The show commenced with lighting of traditional lamp as a tribute to mother Saraswati-Goddess of Knowledge. The sprawling School wore a festive look adorned with colourful flags and rangolis.
Principal of the school, Shaswati Ghosh presented the annual report, highlighting achievements of the School. This was followed by an item staged by the tiny tots of class Ist and IInd, while the students of class-III and IV staged a skit ‘Hans Kiska’.
The students of class VI, VII and VIII presented a glimpse of world dances which involved various movements, figures and mesmerizing formations which engrossed the audience to the core.
The winners of various co-curricular competitions were felicitated by the chief guest. Sincerity House lifted the overall trophy for their exemplary performance in various Inter House Competitions.
Vote of thanks was presented by the Principal, Shaswati Ghosh.
The programme concluded with the National Anthem.
