JAMMU, Nov 26: Ankur Play School, BSF Paloura excelled in Under-10 category of the Jammu District Judo Championship, organized by the Jammu and Kashmir Judo Association, which concluded at Indoor Sports Complex, MA Stadium, here today.
R C Thakur, senior-vice president, J&K Judo Association  was the chief guest on the occasion, while Varinder Dogra was the guest of honour.
The Championship was organized by J&K Judo Association under the supervision of Vikas Gupta its secretary and joint secretary Judo Federation of India under the aegis of J&K State Sports Council and J&K Olympic Association.
The bouts were officiated by Suraj Bhan Singh, Arshi Nad, Vikas Dogra, Ritika Slathia and Rameshwar Singh.
Prominent among others present on the occasion were Shiv Kumar, joint secretary, Judo Association, Suraj Sharma, Rohit Gupta, Rajeev Sharma, Anil Wadera, Inder Pal Singh and Gurucharan Singh.
Earlier, in boys 50 kg,  Akshay Choudhary and Arun Kumar bagged gold and silver respectively, while Ajeet Behra and Neeraj Kumar claimed bronze.
In boys 66 kg, Virbhadar Singh won gold, Rahul Kumar  bagged silver, while the bronze medal went to Abhimaniu  and Pranav Sharma.
In open weight, the gold, silver and bronze went to  Karan Mehta,  Dheeraj Kumar and  Sourab Kumar respectively.
In deaf & dumb boys 50 kg Sunil Kumar, Nabeel Ahmed Dar and Rohit Kumar won gold silver and bronze respectively, while in deaf & dumb boys 66 kg,  Vishal Khajuria, Shubam Kumar and Rohan Kumar won gold, silver and bronze medals respectively.
In deaf & dumb boys 73 kg,  Vivek Singh, Chetan  and Rohit clinched gold, silver and bronze medals respectively, while in deaf & dumb girls open weight category, Rakshinda won gold, Nidhi Sharma bagged silver and Sonia Kumari claimed bronze.
