CHENANI/REASI, Nov 30: On the last day of campaigning for the Assembly constituencies going to the poll in second phase on December 2, Union Minister of State (Independent Charge) of the Ministry of Development of North Eastern Region (DoNER), MoS PMO, Personnel, Public Grievances & Pensions, Atomic Energy and Space, Dr Jitendra Singh today held a series of public meetings at Pancheri and other places in which he called upon the people to vote for Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in order to ensure accountability of enormous Central funds being provided to the State Government.
Dr. Jitendra Singh said, BJP is in favour of bringing out a detailed account of the hundreds of crores of money that has been provided to Jammu & Kashmir by the Government of India since 1947. BJP will also interrogate the manner and purpose for which these funds were spent and will institute an inquiry to investigate into the misappropriation of Central funds by certain individuals and families from time to time, he added.
Taking a dig at the ruling parties in Jammu & Kashmir , Dr Jitendra Singh said, it is a strange irony that all the youngsters capable of becoming Chief Ministers or reaching high positions in the hierarchy are born only in two or three ruling families of the State. BJP will strive to establish democracy in true spirit where every youth will have the opportunity to grow in career as per his capabilities, caliber and diligence, he added.
Dr. Jitendra Singh said, with Narendra Modi at the helm of affairs in New Delhi, this is a rare opportunity for the people of State, particularly for the youth, to vote for establishing a system of governance where there is justice and fair deal for all sections of society and the taxpayer’s money is not squandered away by a handful of individuals sitting at the top.
He appealed that a vote for BJP would be a vote for justice and for the beginning of a new journey of development in the State of Jammu & Kashmir.
