J&K outplays AIIB in Tennis Ball Cricket Sr National

JAMMU, Dec 6: Jammu and Kashmir boys defeated All India Industrial Board (AIIB), the team being sponsored by TATA, in the ongoing 25th Senior National Tennis Ball Cricket Championship at Sunder Nagar in Himachal Pradesh today.
As per the reports reaching here, J&K scored 83 runs in the stipulated 8 overs, losing 2 wickets in the process. Hinan was the top scorer with 41 runs, while Rajat Sharma contributed 32 runs to the total.
In reply, AIIB bundled out for a paltry total of 35 runs, thus lost the match by 43 runs. Zubair Bakshi was the pick of the bowlers, who bagged 3 wickets, while Abrar claimed 2.
In other matches played today, Uttar Pradesh defeated West Bengal, Chhattisgarh prevailed over Purvanchal, Goa got better of Himachal Pradesh and Medh Bharat trounced Telangana.
In the eight pool fixture, J&K has been placed with formidable Punjab, strong Delhi and AIIB.
