SCB Trust holds painting workshop

REASI, Dec 9:  A large number of students of Kendriya Vidyalaya, Jyotipuram and other schools of the area besides artists from various States of the country are participating in five-day painting workshop being organised by Master Sansar Chand Baru Memorial Trust at Jyotipuram.
This unique workshop to promote art and culture in this hilly area is being organised with the support of  Centre for  Cultural Resources and Training (GoI) and the CRPF in Reasi district. The camp is being held under the guidance of supervision of noted artist Anuradha Rishi, daughter of  famous artists of national repute from Jammu, late Master  Sansar Chand Baru.
The workshop was jointly inaugurated by Managing Director, Salal Hydel Power Project G M Ansari, Commanding Officer of   CRPF 126th battalion Bidda, Randhir Sharma, Chairperson of the Trust Anuradha Rishi and  Principal KV Jyotipuram, A G Ghera. Several artists invited from different States exhibited their extra-ordinary talent with brush and paint. They also encouraged the young children and taught them the painting skills.
A painting contest was also organised in which young children of KV and other schools participated. The winners were felicitated by the guests and other dignitaries. The locals of the area lauded the efforts of the trust members for promoting art and culture in this area.
