JAMMU, Dec 15: Rainawari Cricket Club (RCC) Srinagar and Wave Cricket Club defeated their rivals to advance in the ongoing 2nd Jammu Tawi Premier T20 Cricket Tournament, here today.
In the first match, Wave Club trounced Bhagwati CC in a thrilling contest by 3 runs.
Wave Club scored 158 runs, while in reply, Bhagwati Club fell just shot of 3 runs, scoring 155 runs. Charanjeet Singh and Gagandeep Singh contributed 44 and 22 runs for Wave Club, while Himalya and Naveed scored 60 and 55 runs. Gangandeep who took 2 wickets and scored 22 runs was adjudged man of the match.
In another match, RCC Srinagar outplayed Friends Club by a big margin of 59 runs. RCC scored 155 runs in 20 overs, with Ahmer, Puneet Wattal and Chamkor contributing 32, 21 and 20 runs respectively, while in reply, FCC bundled out for 93 runs. Aftab and Shakti scored 21 and 16 runs. For RCC, Ashwani Bhat was the pick of the bowlers, who captured 4 wickets, while Dilbagh Singh, Kuldeep Kumar, Satish Kumar and Sourav claimed one wicket each. For his superb bowling display, Ashwani Bhat was adjudged man of the match.
