They alleged that both of these have utterly failed to perform their duties towards residents of the City. They specially expressed their displeasure with the candidate of one ruling party who himself happens to be son of sitting MLC, and who was going around trying to befool the voters by laying claims to whatever meager developmental works of lanes and drains are being carried out by the administration.
Expressing faith in the development oriented and pro-people policies of the PDP, the residents thanked the senior leadership of PDP for giving mandate to a young candidate like Bharat Chowdhary who in a very short time has developed a deep understanding of the problems of the constituency and can fulfill the hopes and aspirations of the people.
A public rally was also addressed by Bharat Chowdhary at Peer Mitha. Speaking on the occasion he said that people are fed up with anti people and anti-youth policies of the Congress which, even after decades of rule, could not provide basic civic amenities like drinking water, sanitation etc to the people. He appealed the voters to vote for change and send him as their elected representative to usher in an era of peace, development and prosperity in Jammu.
