JAMMU, Dec 22: Jammu University registered its second consecutive win to enter third round of the North Zone Inter University Basketball Championship for men underway at the Swami Vivekananda Group of Institutions under the aegis of Punjab Technical University at Banur in Rajpura, Punjab.
Jammu University cagers shot into early lead with Rohan scoring three pointers in the first two minutes. Tall and lanky Shubham Sharma, controlled the offensive and defensive boards and JU finished the first quarter at 24-08. The opponents recovered in the second quarter and JU went into the half time at 34-20.
Pointman Amanjot Singh, made some sensational drive in the third quarter to extend the lead of the team further, scoring 14 points in the game. In the final quarter, Jaskirat and Gurvinder also clicked well and scored 11 and 9 points respectively. JU finished the match at 77-44 and entered third round.
