Wave Club enters finals of Jammu Tawi T20 Tourney

JAMMU, Dec 24: Defeating Rommy Sports Club in a close contest by 3 wickets on penultimate ball of the match in the semifinals, Wave Cricket Club entered into the finals of the 2nd Jammu Tawi Premier T20 Cricket Tournament at GGM Science College Hostel Ground, here today.
Earlier, batting first, Rommy Sports Club scored a modest total of 126 runs in the stipulated 20 overs, losing 8 wickets in the process. Jaswinder Singh was the top scorer with 55 runs, while Parveen Singh contributed 39 runs to the total. For Wave Club Gagan was the wrecker-in-chief, who bagged 5 important wickets, while Aman claimed 3.
In reply, Wave Club chased the target in 19.5 overs by losing 7 wickets, thus won the match by 3 wickets. KD Singh, Rakinder Singh and Kamal Preet Singh contributed 32, 25 and 21 runs to the total respectively. For Rommy Sports Club, Rahul Mussa and Bansi Lal took 2 wickets each, while Raman Dutta and Akash Choudhary claimed one wicket each. Gagan was declared man of the match.
