Deepak Yadav wins U-18 boys long jump gold

JAMMU, Dec 24: Deepak Yadav of Jammu claimed gold in Under-18 boys long jump, while Vishal Singh and Inpreet Singh, both of Jammu bagged silver and bronze in this event respectively in the ongoing State Athletic Championship, being organized by J&K Athletic Association under the aegis of J&K Sports Council and J&K Olympic Association at Hargobind Bhatnagar Stadium BSF Paloura, Jammu, , here.
In 400 Mtrs Men, Danish Yousuf (JKP) clinched gold, while Parveen Singh (JKP) and Zubair Ahmed (JKP) claimed silver and bronze respectively.
In 5000 Mtrs Open Men, Naresh Kumar, Riyaz Ahmed and Lal Singh, all from JKP won gold, silver and bronze respectively.
In Discus throw (Open Women), Jaswinder Kour (JKP), Gulshan (Udhampur) and Tajinder Kour (Jammu) got gold, silver and bronze medals respectively, while in 400 Mtrs U-16 (Girls), Jaspreet Kour (Jammu), Sakshi Chauhan (Jammu) and Monika Bisht (Jammu) claimed gold, silver and brone medals respectively.
