SRINAGAR, Dec 25:
Declaring that all options before the party in Government formation in Jammu and Kashmir are open, a senior Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) leader Syed Altaf Ahmad Bukhari said any proposal from any quarter will be discussed in the legislature party meeting before taking a final decision.
“We emerged as the largest single party with 28 seats in the State, where no party could reach the magic 44 number in the 87-member House,” Mr Bukhari, who was elected from Amira Kadal constituency, said.
He said party is open to any option. But, added that any proposal received from any party with regard to Government formation will be put before the legislature party before taking any decision.
About the National Conference (NC) working president Omar Abdullah’s announcement to support PDP in case he was contacted by Mufti Mohammad Sayeed, Mr Bukhari said he has heard it only on television channels.
“We have not received this proposal from Omar Abdullah in a concrete form,” he said, adding once any proposal is received, it will be put before the legislature party. (AGENCIES)
