JAMMU, Dec 25: Natrang is going to organize Children’s Winter Theatre Camp from December 28 at Natrang Studio Theatre, Jammu.
This was informed here today by Natrang Director, Balwant Thakur, in a press briefing in which he dwelt in detail about this unique camp.
Giving details, Balwant Thakur said, “Natrang is organizing 8-day theatre workshop starting from December 28, 2014 and culminating on January 4, 2015. The timings of the camp will be 11 am to 1 pm daily during which children will have the occasion to get trained under professionally trained directors. Moreover, a short theatre play will also be produced during the course of the training. Children between the age-group of 7 to 14 will be considered for this rarest training programme”.
He said that Theatre is one of the most effective medium of personality development and self-exploration. Its immense power enables a child to imbibe self-confidence and infuses lot of abilities which empower him/her to excel in every field, he added.

Others who also addressed the media included Neeraj Kant. Aarushi Thakur who has been trained in Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts London, will be the camp director of the workshop while the visiting faculty to the workshop will include Ashish Nijhawan who has been trained in London International School of Performing Arts and Abhishek Bharti who is pursuing PhD in Dramatics from Punjab University, Chandigarh.
