JAMMU, Dec 25: Continuing its charitable activities, Bee Enn General Hospital is conducting free cataract surgeries.
So far, over 850 patients have been registered at the hospital for availing free Eye Cataract surgery of the people, mostly senior citizens, who need this surgery but could not afford the same.
According to Kunil Bhalla, Managing Trustee of Bee Enn Charitable Trust, 750 patients have so far availed this free service. These patients were suffering from cataract problem since years and with the free operation by Bee Enn Hospital, their lives have changed as they are now able to see clearly, he added.
The Managing Trustee also informed that besides other charitable activities, Bee Enn General Hospital is providing free medical treatment to poor and needy, free Bone Mineral Density (BMD) tests, free Cleft Lip & Cleft Palate surgeries.
Dr Satish Kumar Gupta (MS Opthalmology) said that utmost care was being taken for proper hygiene and sterilization. We have restricted to six surgeries in a day to ensure high quality patient care, he added.
This service is open to all on a regular basis and it is not a camp. Any person requiring this surgery can register himself with the reception of the Bee Enn General Hospital on any day at a nominal cost of Rs 200. There is absolutely no other charge for surgery on consumable required for the surgery, said a handout issued by the hospital.
