ASKPC discusses demands

JAMMU, Dec 25: All State Kashmiri Pandit Conference (ASKPC) held a meeting under the chairmanship of its vice president T K Jigyasu in which some important issues were discussed in detail here, today.
The meeting discussed issues like recent seeking of online information regarding immovable property of Kashmiri Pandits by the Government. Jigyasu vociferously insisted that much of the land and property of KPs has been forcibly occupied by the land mafia and goons in Kashmir Valley.
He also lamented that the Government has proved failure in protecting the land of temples and shrines in remote villages and in the Srinagar city as well.
B B Gosani, general secretary, All State Kashmiri Pandit Conference said that the Central Government has asked the State Government for identification of land for rehabilitation of KPs in Valley, but till date the State Government has kept quite in this regard.
S K Bhat Malmohi, spokesman, ASKPC said that the stand of ASKPC for one place settlement in the Valley for all KPs is firm, solid and substantial solution to their problems.
Subash Chatta, secretary, ASKPC laid stress over the employment generation for KPs in the State.
Others who spoke in the meeting were B L Handoo, Surinder Jalali, Veena Gurtu, A K Dhar and Ravi Raina.
