NOWSHERA/ POONCH, Dec 27: On the eve of Gurpurab (Parkash Utsav) of Guru Gobind Singh ji, impressive ‘Nagar Kirtan’ was taken out by the members of Sikh community at Poonch and Nowshera today.
A large number of members of the community including women and children, took out ‘Nagar Kirtan’ from main Gurdawara at Nowshera town and then after passing through various localities it culminated at the same place. The devotees were singing songs in the praise of 10th Guru of the Sikhs.
Similar religious procession (Nagar-Kirtan) was taken out from main Gurdwara at Poonch city during early morning. Despite chilling cold, a large number of members of the Sikh community took out impressive ‘Nagar Kirtan’ and sung songs in the praise of the great Guru.
