Abhay, Agreeney guide Col Chopra Academy to big win

Jammu, Dec 28: A brilliant 5-wicket haul by Abhay Tandon and a superb knock of 65 runs by Agreeney Happa helped Col R N Chopra Cricket Academy to register a big win over Delhi Public School (DPS), despite Aryan Gandral’s splendid 50 runs to advance in the ongoing Under-16 boys T20 Cricket Tournament at IIIM-CSIR ground, here today.
Earlier, winning the toss and batting first, Col Chopra Academy scored a decent total of 159 runs in the stipulated 20 overs, losing 5 wickets in the process. Agreeney Happa was the top scorer with 65 runs, while Aditya Chib contributed valuable 35 runs to the total. For DPS, Anmol took 3 wickets, while Aryan Gandral claimed one wicket.
In reply, DPS bundled out for 96 runs in 18.2 overs, thus lost the match by a big margin of 74 runs. Aryan Gandral was the top scorer with 50 runs, while Raj contributed 15 runs to the total. For CCA, Abhay Tandon was the wrecker-in-chief, who took 5 important wickets by conceding 16 runs in his 3 overs, while Ayush Singh Slathia bagged 2 wickets. Abhishek and Marutwan also claimed one wicket each.
The match was officiated by the Academy’s chief coach, Sukomal Ganguly and Akash Manhas.
