NEW DELHI, Dec 30:
President Pranab Mukherjee today transferred Governor of Uttarakhand Aziz Qureshi as Mizoram Governor while Governor of Meghalaya Krishan Kant Paul was transferred as Uttarakhand Governor.
“Dr Aziz Qureshi, Governor of Uttarakhand is transferred and appointed as Governor of Mizoram for the remainder of his term.
Dr Krishan Kant Paul, Governor of Meghalaya is transferred and appointed as Governor of Uttarakhand for the remainder of his term,” a Rashtrapati Bhawan communique said.
The communique said Dr Krishan Kant Paul will continue to hold the additional charge of the office of the Governor of Manipur, in addition to his own duties, till further orders.
“Mr Keshari Nath Tripathi, Governor of West Bengal, will discharge the functions of the Governor of Meghalaya, in addition to his own duties, till further orders,” the communique said. (UNI)
