DODA, Dec 31: Police today arrested a person and recovered 130 grams sapphire from his possession.
According to SSP Doda Mohammad Sharief Chouhan, police team from Police Post Pul Doda during patrolling intercepted a person on suspicious grounds.
During checking, police recovered 130 grams sapphire and arrested the person, who has been identified as Abdul Hamid, son of Ghulam Hussain of Sangrana, tehsil Duroo, district Anantnag, SSP said.
A case under FIR number 240/14 under Section 4/5 Sapphire Act has been registered at police station Doda and investigation started, Chouhan added.
