SRINAGAR, Jan 1: One person has died while twenty others were injured in different road accidents in the Valley, police said.
A police spokesman said a Truck JK03D-9462 driven by Shahid Ahmad Bhatt of Dethoo, Anantnag hit a motorcycle JK03D-9937 at Khanabal Chowk Anantnag resulting in injuries to a motorcyclist Tariq Hussain Mir of Fooda, Qazigund and a pillion Jan Mohammad Khan son of Mohammad Khan.
Both the injured were shifted to District Hospital, Anantnag for treatment where Jan Mohammad succumbed to his injuries.
He said Sumo JK05- 9981 on way from Arizal to Budgam tuned turtle near Palpora, Khan Sahab, Budgam, resulting in injuries to five passengers. All the injured were shifted to SMHS Hospital, Srinagar for treatment.
A Mini bus JK09-0746 on way from Kralpora to Kupwara turned turtle at Hiri Payeen Kupwara, resulting in injuries to 14 passengers. All the injured were shifted to Sub District Hospital, Kupwara for treatment.
The spokesman said police has registered cases in these accidents.
