Bansal’s faction move court as Chauhan group suspends him

New Delhi, Jan 2:
The all-powerful executive committee of the Delhi and Districts Cricket Association (DDCA) decided to suspend its president Sneh Bansal on “allegations of misappropriation and siphoning off funds”.
Stripped off his powers, Bansal, who is currently a BCCI vice-president has decided to move court.
Bansal has moved court terming that it is an “illegal resolution passed by some of the Executive Members led by Ravinder Manchanda and Chetan Chauhan, whereby the elected President and General Secretary of the DDCA were illegally stripped of their powers in violation of the Company law and also the Memorandum of the DDCA.”
DDCA’s acting head Chetan Chauhan and his faction had formed a four-member fact-finding committee chaired by Sunil Jain along with Siddharth Verma, Salil Seth and Vinod Garg to look into the alleged misappropriation.(PTI)
