JAMMU, Jan 3: Amidst a suspense over formation of  new Government in Jammu and Kashmir, the newly elected Congress MLAs today met  and had a discussion on the present political situation.
The meeting was held at the residence of MLA Gool-Arnas and former Minister Ajaz Ahmad Khan at Sidhra. All the newly elected Congress Legislators, except MLA Nobra Deldan Namgyal, attended the meeting, which lasted for more than two hours.
During the informal meeting, which was called for introduction among all the newly elected MLAs, sources said that discussion was held on the present political scenario following the State Assembly elections results and hung verdict.
According to the sources, all the Congress MLAs were in favour of exploring the options for forming some combination to form next Government in the State and keep BJP out of power.
Since our party has only 12 members in the Assembly and much depends upon the response of PDP and NC, further discussions on Government formation can be held only after arrival of Dr Farooq Abdullah from abroad, said a Congress Legislator on the condition of anonymity.
