Construction of trauma hospital at Kishtwar demanded

JAMMU, Jan 5: Inhabitants of Kishtwar, Chatru and Padder have demanded immediate construction of a Trauma Hospital at Kishtwar in view of the increasing road accidents in the area.
The demand was made in a meeting of the prominent people of the area which was chaired by senior Congress leader and member civil society Shamsher Singh Bhandari.
The meeting said in view of the increasing road accidents in the area there is an immediate need for construction of a trauma hospital in Kishtwar with all facilities and latest machinery so that the lives of accident victims are not put to risk while shifting them to hospital which is far away.
Mr Bhandari also demanded upgradation of Primary Health Centres of Chatru and Padder immediately with filling up of vacant posts of doctors and para medicos in DH Kishtwar and other hospitals of the district.
The meeting made an appeal to Secretary Health and Medical Education in this regard and urged him to issue orders for posting of doctors in the DH Kishtwar and other hospitals of the district.
