JAMMU, Jan 7: A deputation of Jammu and Kashmir Sangram Sena under the leadership of R R Raina, Sena president, met R K Varma, Director Tourism and apprised him about the present deteriorating condition of immovable properties of ancient Dewan Mandir, today.
The Sangram Sena president (SS) apprised the DGT about Dewan Mandir, Kachi Chowni which is 300 years old and can be best attraction for devotees from all over the country and also boost the tourism. But the Temple and its immovable properties are in shambles as some land grabbers have developed illegal possession over the property.
Director Tourism gave patient hearing to grievances of deputationists, who also submitted a memorandum to the officer. He assured that every effort would be made to develop Dewan Mandir in the interest of devotees and to attract tourism in Jammu.
