Stadium Orange smashes Stadium Blue by 2-0, to face PHHC in Sub-Junior summit clash

POONCH, Jan 10: Stadium Orange smashed Stadium Blue by straight two goals and will face Power House Hockey Club (PHHC) in the summit clash of the Sub-Junior category of District Poonch Hockey Championship, being organized by Hockey Poonch, under the aegis of Hockey J&K at Sports Stadium, Poonch today.
In the first half, the players of Stadium Orange and Stadium Blue started playing passionately and restrained each other to score goal and raise the scoreboard.
However, in a break-through Aman of Stadium Orange after finding a gap netted the goal in the 17th minute of the first half and raised the lead on the opponent team by 1-0 goal.
The players of Stadium Blue tried their level best to equalize the game, but Shahbaz of Stadium Orange shattered their dreams and netted the goal in the 23rd minute and raised the scorecard to 2-0 goals.
The two goals in the first half of the match brought Stadium Blue players under pressure, which was clearly visible on their faces.
In the remaining time of the first half, the Stadium Blue players could not manage to score even a single goal and the first half ended with a lead of 2-0 goals on them.
In the second half, the players of both the teams were looking rejuvenated. As soon as the game started, the players of Stadium Orange and Stadium Blue were seen raiding goal side of each other, but could not convert the raids in the goals.
Several attempts were made by the players of Stadium Blue, but luck did not favour them.
The man to man marking game by the Stadium Orange also failed to show any good results, which in other words proved beneficial for the Stadium Orange team.
In the last 10 minutes of the game, the players of Stadium Blue looked dominated before Stadium Orange players, which paved way for the latter to qualify for the summit clash against Power House Hockey Club (PHHC) in Sub-Junior category.
The match was officiated by Vikas Sharma, Rohit Sharma, Mukesh Kumar, NIS Hockey Coach and Pawan Kumar, NIS Hockey Coach.
The championship is being organized under the overall supervision of Sham Lal Sharma, retd SAI Hockey coach and vice president of Hockey J&K.
