Tarsem Kullar new State BSP chief

JAMMU, Jan 14:  Former Northern Railways Employees Union leader from J&K, Tarsem Khullar has been appointed as new president of the J&K State unit of  the Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP).
National president of the BSP, former Utter Pradesh Chief Minister and sitting MP, Kumari Mayawati today announced his appointment on the recommendations of All India general secretary of the party, Narinder Kashyap. Mr Khullar had recently resigned from the Railways service to join the politics.  He was working as Head Clerk in the Parcel department of the Railways at Jammu Station and remained very effective and popular trade union leader.   He also remained associated with BAMCEF for long as convenor.
Mr Kashyap said that party president Kumari Mayawati had dissolved all the State (J&K), district, block and booth level units of the party on December 25 immediately after Assembly elections, during a meeting with party leaders from J&K in Delhi. Mr Khullar has replaced Tulsi Dass Langeh, who was no more party president after December 25. Mr Kashyap hoped that under the new leadership of Mr Khullar, the party would be strengthened in the State.
