JAMMU, Jan 15: A woman working as nurse with a private clinic was allegedly strangulated to death her husband for having extra-marital affair.
As per police sources, Romesh Thakur alias Akash of Dacchan, district Kishtwar, at present Pamposh Colony strangulated to death his wife Shashi Bala (28) suspecting that she had extra-marital affair.
The accused was missing for the last three months and returned back home two days ago
The accused wrapped her body in a piece of cloth after killing her and escaped from the spot.
The landlords were not present at home during the incident and when they came back they reported the matter to police.
On getting information, police rushed to the spot and shifted the body of the woman to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), where after conducting autopsy, the body was handed over to family members for last rites.
The woman worked as a nurse with a private clinic at Channi Himmat and her husband suspected that she had extra-marital affair. This could be the reason behind the murder of the woman, but exact reasons could be ascertained after investigation completed.
A case under Section 302 RPC has been registered at Janipur police station and manhunt has been launched to nab the accused.
