Vigilance & Monitoring Committee reviews progress of schemes

Samba, Jan 15:  The meeting of District Vigilance & Monitoring Committee (VMC) Samba was held here today to review the progress under various  Centrally Sponsored Schemes in the district.
Jugal Kishore Sharma, Member of Parliament, who is also the Chairman of Vigilance & Monitoring Committee presided over the meeting.
Newly elected Members of Legislative Assembly Devinder Kumar Maniyal of Samba Constituency and Chander Prakash Sharma of Vijaypur Constituency, MLA Hiranagar Kuldeep Raj besides MLC Noor Hussain were also present in the meeting.
At the outset, the District Development Commissioner, Samba, Mubarak Singh gave a detailed account of the  physical and financial achievement during the current year under various Centrally Sponsored Schemes and Programmes launched in the district.
Various schemes and programmes which were discussed in the meeting inter alia include MGNREGA, IAY, NRLM, NSAP, PMGSY, IWMP ,NRDWP and NBA etc.
Speaking on the occasion, Jugal Kishore Sharma impressed upon the officers to work in a coordinated way,  undertake regular touring and ensure close monitoring to achieve quality parameters and effective implementation of the schemes . He also asked the officers present  to expedite the execution of work taken up by the department.
MLA Vijaypur C.P Sharma,  MLA Samba Devinder Maniyal, MLA Hiranagar Kuldeep Kumar and MLC Noor Hussain also discussed in detail the status of various developmental works being carried out in the district. They also emphasized for organizing the awareness camps and involvement of members of  PRIs to ensure need based development on the ground.
Among others SSP  Samba Anil Magotra, ADDC Samba Vivek Sharma, ADC Samba Inderjeet,  Chief Planning Officer, ACD, Chief Education Officer,  and other district officers were present in the meeting.
